October 2025 – What Time is it?
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Have you ever looked at the clock and realized that the time was later than what you initially thought? Someway or another, through the business of life and hectic schedules, time got away and now you might not make your appointment. We’ve all been there, and we’ve all experienced this to some degree. The importance of my thought today is trying to help each one of us realize how easy time gets away from us.
The scripture tells us that no one knows the day nor the hour. That means we won’t know what time it is. It will be time for the Lord to return to claim His church, His bride, but many will not understand the time. The Lord gave us a barometer to measure time (if you please). He gave us a way of knowing how close we are to that time, even if He wouldn’t give us the exact time. It is incumbent upon us to be mindful always of the time, not knowing the exact time but knowing that the time IS near.
As a church, we try to stay focused on kingdom business, our own mortality and our salvation. Over the next year, we’re going to do everything that we can to sharpen our focus, grow in the Lord exponentially and be ready for that clock to strike midnight. The time is near, and we don’t know what time but we do know to be watchful and to be ready. I encourage today: be more responsible with your time and your walk with God than ever before, because the time is near!
