April 2026 – The value of your talent!
Matthew 25:14 gives us the parable of the talent. Rather than narrate the entire text, let me focus on the point at hand. Their lord gave them something of value and he expected them to respect it and treat it with the utmost care. So for the sake of my thought, please look at YOUR talent as every sermon that you have heard in the past year.
Matthew 4:4 – “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”. The word IS the Bread of Life, and it IS the most precious and valuable commodity in your life. God has provided all that we need in his written, spoken and preached Word. We have received very clear direction from the pulpit in 2026, and it has all repeatedly reiterated the same message over and over.
That message is 3-fold:
1) A Greater level of Faith
2) A Greater level of Giving
3) A Greater level of Relationship
We are on the precipice of a new era in our church. We are at the bank of the Jordan River, and we are ready to cross over. What you and I do with the Word(s) that we have received over the past 3 months will determine if we cross, or if we remain on this side of the Jordan. I don’t know about you, but I want to step into the Promises of God and continue to experience things we have only prayed for!
This will happen when we realize the true value of the talent that we have been given!
