February 2026 – The Strength of the Body

Crystal Sturgill   -

Luke 22:69Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. In this text, we understand clearly that God is a spirit; therefore, He has no right hand, and He has no physical throne. This scripture means that Christ represents the strength and the arm of God. Our right side is our strong side, and Jesus is the strength of God in operation. Jesus says “all power is given unto me in Heaven and Earth” because He represents the operation of God’s strength.

The church is only as strong as its members. Every member adds to the body so that there are no schisms, but the structure of the local church remains strong when every member is actively doing their part. A church’s weakness is found in the weakness of its members. It’s important that we understand how vital we are to the local church and to the body of Christ. Just our mere presence speaks strength to our adversaries. Our mere presence gives strength to each other by just being there… we are effectively the right hand of the church!

I want you to know today that the strength of the church rests in you and I. We must accept our vital role of supporting, uplifting and encouraging the body.

We must understand that our presence is vital and it’s not irrelevant whether we show up or not. We must understand that we get strength in each other. I can tell you that my wife and I have been richly encouraged by the faithfulness of the saints, and we have been highly discouraged because of the lack of one’s presence int the house of God.

Please know that we count on you. We lean upon you. We need you and you are vital to the body of Christ! You ARE The Strength of the Body!
